There Was a Pig Went Out to Dig
Transcribed by Scott Muntefering. A very cute and fanciful arrangement originally for four-part children's or female choir that translates perfectly for trumpets. Very fun to play. Short and sweet. Uses the dorian mode.
ITG Journal, June 2018, page 93:"...as lighthearted as the source, retaining much of the same character as the original....a great work for a studio or mid-ensemble performance...The piece follows Grainger's setting, allowing for several style changes that maintain the interest of both performers and listeners...a fun adaptation and welcome transcription."
